STEF-TFE joins the BFFF

The STEF-TFE group has now officially joined the British Frozen Food Federation.

The BFFF is a federation of manufacturers, traders and distributors of frozen food. The mission of this 237 members association is to promote the frozen food industry in Britain. It facilitates exchanges among participants in this market and initiates promotion campaigns aimed at the public. Among its many initiatives, the federation opened the website www.thenewiceage.com.

The frozen food sector’s potential is huge : “The frozen food market in Great Britain today totals £ 5.1  billion (5,5 billion €) and is growing at a 6,3% annual rate ”, BFFF Chairman Brian Young said, quoting recent figures from TNS Worldpanel (Quick Frozen Foods International, October 2009).

"Transport activities play a very important role on the frozen food market in the United Kingdom, as imports account for 42% of the market, and exceed exports by 50%" , Bruno Duquenne, STEF-TFE Vice-president for European activities said. Our policy is to be an active member of every association promoting frozen food in France and Europe, where we belong to many professional bodies.

STEF-TFE is present in the United Kingdom through its affiliate TFE International Ltd UK, based in Chelmsford. TFE International Ltd UK specializes in the temperature-controlled haulage of dairy and milk products and other manufactured food.
